tunze 6100 question

i see that the 6100 runs on 22 volts DC... is there any way to make them able to be Battery driven? for like a battery backup incase of power loss?? im ordering from PA this week (thanks to the awesome deal jason gives) and was just wondering about this??

The transformer actually produces 22V AC. I would not advise tampering with the power supply or using another type of power supply. It is a very energy efficient pump and can be plugged in to a UPS and run for quite some time without any modification necessary.

i had heard they where DC and wondered about battery backup that way.. no biggie i got a couple of ups's but i intend on buying a generator anyways.. thanks for the reply
