Tunze 6105 clicking/knocking noise lately

No problem, glad we found out that was all it was. What I have seen happen in the past is that calcium will cement the magnet to the disk and then the silicon cup gets worn down from friction, it basically starts spinning and gets ground away.

After 24 hours, unfortunately, I can hear humming noises when it changes speed. Is this normal for a new disc?

It will make some noise perpetually, but it should not be very audible more than a few feet from the tank, if you have a decibel meter app on your phone, you should get a reading below 58 db at full power, but you first need to verify that the background noise is below that, in general the quietest room in a house will be 50db and my living room where my tank is has a background level of 56db.
