I found my 9 month old tunze 6105 not working with my tunze controller this morning. Upon some further investigation, I found that the connection point shown below had gotten wet somehow. Let me know if this can be repaired. I cant get the power supply plug out since it melted.

Thanks, Steve

You would need to buy a new transformer for sure, they run about $55. I can usually repair this by soldering a new end on the pump which runs $25.

Send it in and include a return address and phone number.

I got your pump ready to go but I need a number to call you at regarding payment for the repair?

Roger,

I am sending this pump out to you today. I finally got around to getting it into my newly setup 210 and after a week of operation, it no longer works. Not stand alone or via the 7096 controller.

Thanks, Steve

Roger, what was wrong with the pump I sent you??? I received the pump back and it has the same problem. It doesn't work when it is stand alone or via my 7096. I have tried different electrical outlets, in the tank, out of the tank, and nothing.

Thanks, Steve

Steve,

We replaced what you sent us with new, new motor and new drive unit, only your front housing was original and this could not be a cause. I suspect there is an issue with the power supply or controller, an article that was not included, we tested the assembled replacement and in fact your original pump worked, but since some intermittent problems take a few days to show, I decided it was quickest to replace and test what you sent over a longer term.

Roger,

I have a 7096 controller and have three other 6101 pumps hooked up to it and they run on any of the 4 channels without issue. I could send the controller and the 6105 pump back so u can check it.

Thanks, Steve

Please include the power supply. I am sorry for the inconvenience but I did replace the motor and drive unit and it was tested on our power supply and was in working order.
