I have ordered 4x6200s for my 420 gallon tank (84x48x24) that is being built by Miracles in Glass. The tank has Eurobracing and I am going to drill a hole in the bracing that is big enough to pass the cord from the 6200 through. How big should I make the hole? Thanks.
Really? I had hoped that the 6200 had a nominal sized plug that could fit through a 1 1/4" diameter hole. The eurobracing is 4 1/2 " wide. Derek at Miracles said I could put up to a 2" diameter hole in the eurobracing with no problem.
3/4" should be more than enough, you just need to open the driver and unplug the pump which is connected with a 6pin Molex type plug. This would easily pass through a 3/4" hole.
