Tunze 6255 Placement in 225G 72x27x27

I have two of the new Tunze 6255s. Where would you recommend they be placed in my tank?

Attached is the picture of my tank. (As you can see the MP40's were not working out for me....)

I am eager for any feedback on these new pumps so please keep me posted.

I would start in the back corners aimed to the front to almost the opposite diagonal corner, about 1ft before. Both magnet halves are waterproof so you can mount them on overflows.

How far down from the surface would you recommend?

Very neat to know about mounting to overflows, even though I dont think I would have any practical use for that in my tank.

Waiting for my Apex Stream cable to come in order to hook these guys up. (Hopefully tomorrow!) I already plugged one in directly to the wall and HOLY COW! Like a small trolling motor!

You can see my short/crappy iphone video here:

Basically, from the back corner aim the pump to hit the front 5ft away, roughly 1ft before the diagonal, if you hit the diagonal corner the flow will largely disperse and bounce back, if you hit before this you can get the flow to roll around the side and to the back.

Roger, I figured what you meant from your original post.

I was asking how far below the water line should the pump be? Like 8" or 12"?

Thanks!

Really depends on layout, the goal being not to disturb the sand and yet get a good surface movement, I would say at least 6" not more than 18". Thank you for the video link by the way.

No problem about the video. I'll take another video once I get it all up and running properly.

I guess I'll try around 12" to start. I am running bare bottom, so I don't have to worry about the sand. :)
