tunze 7096 and mac

Last I remember they were hoping to debut it at interzoo but there was some set backs as it was more difficult than expected and were debugging due to stablity isssues. I believe a couple weeks ago Roger was trying to get an update. Hopefully he will have some info on it out of his trip to Germany he is on

We are supposed to see a beta version tomorrow, however the mac version still does not connect reliably to the controller, it works but I have been told that it only recognizes the controller about 25% of the time and it is still being debugged.

I couldn't get the Mac version to work with my just delivered 7096. It controlled the wavecontroller functions on slots 3 & 4, but would not ramp up and down my 6095's.

There really wouldn't be any logical reason one mode would work but not the other, can you post a screen shot of what you have set up? You would need to set two speeds and the pumps will jump between those two speeds, in pulse mode all would be on and pulsing and in interval or sequential only some will be on.

The mac version's screen is different from the windows version. I've just been using pulse mode and on the windows screen right under pulse flow it has a ramp function and then a random flow function. On the mac version, both of these are missing. I don't know if this is the reason or not.

All I know is that the mac version only sends 100% non ramping signals to the pumps on 1 and 2 and will not receive setting from the unit. I tried for hours to get it to work and almost sent the thing back, but figured why not try my windows laptop and everything started working

I was using a MacBook Pro (Mid 2012) running Mountain Lion and a HP Pavilion DV7 running Windows 7.

If you really want a screen shot, I could probably do it. I just don't want to screw with something that's working well now.

OK, that is correct, sorry I did not understand initially. These features were added to Windows late last year and have not been ported over to the Mac version yet, they will, but it will be a bit longer.

That still doesn't explain why the mac version does not ramp up and down pumps, does it? Only 100%, even when the settings are at 30 and 85.

Only the windows version at present has the ramp feature, the mac version should be able to pulse or jump from 30-85%. However, if this controller was connected to Windows it has had the firmware updated for the new features and can no longer reliably connect to OS X as the firmware is not fully recognized, it is one generation ahead of the Mac software/firmware, when the Mac version is updated it will again work on OS X.
