Hi Roger,

Any updates when the 7097 controller will be released? Purchased a few LED's on the presumption that the 7097 was being released but still nothing to date.

Are they going ahead with this?

Cheers

It will come in the winter, it will have many new features including an iOS and android app and bluetooth connectivity and debugging this has taken more time than expected.

It will be ready around March/April, the controller is ready but we are waiting to have the apps ready and approved before launch.

Will it be accessible via iPhone as well? Are you able to give a price range or no?

All I know at this time is it will work with Windows, OSX, Android and iOS, it will connect by Bluetooth. It will be capable of running the pumps and the LED's, I don't have any pricing info at this time but expect it will be under $250.

Bluetooth and iOS? I could sit in my easy chair next to my tank and use my iPad to play with flow patterns on my pumps without having plug into a computer.

I want one.

Tunze 7097 Controller?

Sounds very cool. I'm glad I got the apex lite ;) (currently using a 7095 for my tunze).

Sorry for the necro. But I haven't found much else about this controller except it was shown in the spring 2013.

Has it been discontinued? I'd be interested in this product.

Yes, it was originally shown at Interzoo 2012 and was planned for late 2012/early 2013. We then expanded the project to integrate a new LED light 8850 and improve the pump programming options. We also learned use of Bluetooth requires licensing and this all added further delays. It has since been planned for release in Sept 2014. It has been delayed again because we want to use a new chipset that will eliminate the need for any drivers to be installed on your tablet, smartphone or computer. The general consensus is it will be available before Christmas 2014, but this new chipset requires changes to the apps and this all results in changes to the manual.

hi, in 7097, is pump options include clock settings? are we capable of setting the pumps differently during the day, i mean 09:00 - 11:00 setting A , 11:00 - 16:00 setting B.. goes on like this.

My understanding is that if the bluetooth connection remains open you will be able to set this on the computer to send a new program at a set time. The controller has been delayed by another update, a new chipset came out that made it more stable and reliable so they are switching to this new set before release, it is presently looking like it will be November before they are available.

sounds not much functional :( always need a online pc or tablet for this. maybe online tablet is a good idea, always able to change settings when u r not at home, you access to your tablet from smart phone, tablet access to 7097 :) am i right? :)

It depends what you are looking for in terms of functionality, we try to keep things simple with only a few screens with check boxes so no complicated coding is required. Ocean currents tend to be steady and rhythmic with periodic upsets, the controller can do this with regular mode setting and storm mode, their is very little reason to have constant changes to the flow pattern. But, if that is what you want, it is not the best tool to do it. It would theoretically be possible though to use a "go to my PC" type program, access a home computer which is connected by bluetooth to the 7097 and remotely change the settings, but we focus on equipment made to achieve nature like conditions and this would be more of a toy for technology fans and not so much a useful aquarium product.

No, the 7097 is being redesigned to use WIFI, a working prototype is complete, the final price should be about the same, but it was impossible to resolve the issue with iOS usage and Bluetooth licensing so we had to redesign it for WIFI. Expected now March/April 2015.
