Tunze 9001 in IM Fusion 40?

Will the 9001 be able to handle being in a fusion 40?
Ik the skimmer is rated for 37 gallons but you won't have that much water in the tank after all the rock and sand.
Would that be pushing the limits of the 9001 to much?

It really depends on other maintenance and inhabitants.

For example if you kept up with biweekly water changes, ran biopellets and phosphate remover and it was lightly stocked, it would be fine, but if it was all SPS and with no other filtration elements and fewer water changes, it would not be enough.

Ok thank you and this tank I would be setting up would have like 4fish(clown, blenny, goby, firefish) and then would be softies and lps, no sps. This would be my first salt water tank and trying to plan out everything at the moment

I think in that case you should be fine, I would just run some GFO and do small bi weekly water changes to supplement the skimmer.
