Tunze 9002 Skimmer w/ no bubbles

I've tried to review other posts before adding this one but nothing in them have helped me.

I think I've installed the skimmer following all instructions but I get no bubbles at all, even with the screw wide open. No bubbles, no water movement on the surface if I pull the cup out.

I took the unit apart (as per cleaning instructions) and even tested the pump to ensure it was working.

Can someone walk me through the troubleshooting on this? This is my first Tunze skimmer.

I got my working temporary by pulling the skimmer out of water for about 5 seconds while the unit is running and put it back into the tank. Once I received the venturi replacement from Roger, I do not have to do this anymore. It restart few times that I tested. Now, I just need to fine tune it and wait for the breakin period.

Overall, I love this skimmer.

It may be that you have a bad venturi. Once Roger is able to take a look at this thread and help determine if that is in fact the problem, then we will be able to send you out a replacement venturi asap.

That is the problem, Rodney can send a new venturi, just PM him your address.
