How do I incorporate the osmolator into the skimmer?

You cannot. The socket on the back is a relief opening for water to exit, the same back panel is used on the 3162 and 3163 filters and and that is why it is labeled for sensor install. On the filters the optic sensor holder is removed from the magnet holder and installed on the back of the filter, the float remains on its own magnet holder. If you install the optic sensor on the skimmer it will tend to be noisy and the cup will fill with water as the water cannot escape.
