Tunze 9004 skimmer?

I was wondering is it possible to connect a c02 scrubber to the Tunze 9004 skimmer?

I seen this but not sure if this will work or something else someone suggests.

I was thinking maybe use a T line where the air hose goes into the Tunze.

I keep seeing this question but I don't understand the problem. Can you not just remove the silencer from the airline and replace with the scrubber?
