Tunze 9005 Question

I've been scoping out the 9005 for my 29 gallon for a few weeks and was wondering if there was any reason there may be a better option? It's going to be virtually all SPS, and I wanted the 9005 over the 9010 with the price discrepancy because it's going directly into my tank. The 9002 sounds like it would be a bit undersized for a 29G SPS after the 60% calculation. Would it be best to run the 9005 wide open or with that little filter gate or whatever it is? Also, I like that it'd be in-tank so that if it starts to overflow, it'd just overflow into the tank, there's no reason it'd start coming out of the tank right? Anything else to think about?

The 9005 can't overflow, it shuts down when the cup is full. I think it would be a great choice, the only reason to close the door a bit is if you have some air bubbles escaping.

I use the 9005 on my 37 gallon. Best skimmer I've ever owned.
