Hi,

I have a question that I would like to ask fellow reefers and tunze retailers/representative. I have a tunze 9010 that is about 2 years old. But recently, I'm having a problem with the needle wheel in the tunze pump. I have being using vinegar to clean the needle wheel but it's still generating noises. Please trust me, I have tried everything, from cleaning the pump & many others parts, mounting correctly, ect... I would like to buy a replacement for the needle wheel. Does anyone ever replaced their needle wheel before? I would like to buy one if it's available. I hate to replace the whole skimmer since I have a very limit space in the sump and tunze 9010 dimension fit perfertly. I was thinking about replacing the skimmer with the bubble master 150 but kinna low on doe :)...please give me any suggestion or recommendation on how to fix this problem and I hope by opening this thread could help many tunze users...thank you for your time.

The 9010 doesn't have a needle wheel, it is a venturi skimmer and has a standard impeller. The drive unit 3000.60 is most likely what needs to be replaced.

Kewl, i didn't know the correct term for the piece. So thank for the correction, standard impeller. Do you guys sell the drive unit 3000.60? I would like to buy one...thx

Yes, part 3000.60, I think Marine Depot has them, you can also order them from Tunze.com

Hi,

Thank you so much. I'm going order one and have it over nite delivery since my skimmer have been off for two days now. Also, the 3000.60 look alittle different then the one in the 9010 pump but that's the closest to it. Once again thank you for your help
