Tunze 9010 Newly Installed Sucking noise

Hi,

I just installed my 9010 about a week and a half ago and the last couple of nights it's been making a sucking noise.

Is there a trick to fix this? It goes away when I lift the skimmer cup.

Are you using it in sump or in tank?

I'm using it in sump.

So you have the sump kit installed? It sounds like either the blue sponge is above the top of the pipe or the elbow is pushed in to the body a hair too far and water is backing up so it is being pulled into the air intake.

The spounge is good. The pipe could be it. I'll check it when I get home.
