Tunze 9012 unit - questions about bubbles...

Hello, anyone here with a 9012 experiencing any noticable amount of microbubbles leaking from the seam where the cup meets the body of the skimmer?

I notice that on the inlet there seems to be a little bit of bubbly escaping from the front as well as back side of the unit. I have made sure the cup is securely flat on the base. The waterlevel exiting is completely in line with the back line as well.

Its skimming well, but just curious if anyone else seems to have this too?

Thanks.

actually nevermind, I just realized that by seating the cup at an angle to the front first, then the back it creates a perfect seal. Although it doesnt have a groove or anything that it fits into - it must complete some sort of seal this way. stupid me, maybe this will help someone else out. haha. Great skimmer so far!

Thank you, yes, the cup seals against the plate with a water layer serving as the gasket. If you have more issues, a common one is submerging it to deep, if bubbles are exiting or popping at the intake grate, it is likely too deep.
