Hey guys,

Quick question, when you guys are doing your water changes with at Tunze ATO, do you turn it off or remove the sensor?

Reason I ask is because, The sensor actually went bad after 3 times of letting the water in the overflow go past the sensor. i would turn off the pumps, and water level would rise causing the sensor to beep because of the float switch. I think somehow after awhile the sensor got damaged because of this or something.

I plan on sending the sensor and control unit in to be fixed.

Are you suppose to remove the switch when your doing water changes?

Im just trying to prevent this from happening again.

Thanks

The sensor should be water tight and can handle being submerged. It may just be coincidence or it could be the sensor was faulty and leaked.
