I have 2 tunze stream 6100's and a wavebox 6212. I also have a vortech thats a POS. Does anyone know if i can use the Icecap battery and connect it to a tunze 6101?? Is there any additional connectors needed??

If the IC battery is 12 - 24V, it will work. You need a Safety Connector part # 6105.500 which is ~ $50. You also need a charger if the IC doesn't have that built in.

BTW, I also (briefly) tried the Vortechs, and was extremely unhappy with them.

I tell ya, i have tried several times to give them the benefit of the doubt, but man, its like a money pit. Buy the unit, buy the battery, replace the wet side or parts of it every 12-18 months, stalling, falling off the wall. And now, the power supply has stopped working. I think im about to give up and sell. I know they are new, but man, they just dont come close to the performance of my streams (they dont stay working!). Anyhow, when you use the connector how do you set the speed?? Does it automatically dropped the stream to the lowest power draw? I dont want it to keep blasting away at full power!

I use a 12V battery connected to a 6101 which normally uses 24VDC. The other pump is a 6100 which is not backed up by battery. The 7095 controller still functions when in battery mode which surprised me. My 6101 is pulsing 30% - 100%, so when on battery @ 12V which is 1/2 the voltage, it pulses 15% - 50%.

My exp with the Vortechs was brief. The noise level of these hings was intolerable. Absolutely unusable product for me for this reason alone. I didn't have them long enough to experience any maintenance issues.
