Tunze break shoes - run without them?

I'm just wondering, is it possible to run a 6130 without break shoes?

What's the risks?

What's the purpose of these break shoes as other stream models particularly newer models don't have them?

The 6060, 6080 and 6130 have to have them. They stop the prop from spinning backwards. Controllable models have electronics to do this and the newer non controllable models have stop tabs to do the same function. Without them, the pump will usually spin backwards.
