tunze dilemma

Hi tunze fans

I have a dilemma …:rolleye1:
I have a 55g mini-reef (sump included).
I have a cabinet height limitation of 51 cm.
I don’t know which tunze is best for me? Should I go on a 230/3 or 240/3?
There is also the option for 3130/3 or the 3140/2.
They are at the same price range +/-.
What to do? Which one to choose?
By the way can any one tell me the minimum and maximum water level for each of these models?
By the way which skimmer type is most recommended? The classic or comline doc?
thanks

I would avoid the 240/3 and 3140/2 unless they were from the very last ones made with the one piece cup and riser tube. The 3130/2 needs an 11" water level and is the best one in my opinion. The 230/3 is also pretty good, and it needs a 3" water level. I would look for a skimmer made after 2004 if possible.

Emphasis mine.. :D

A recent 3130/2 is about 10-20% stronger than a 230/3. If you go back before the venturi and silencer was upgraded they are pretty much equal.
