I'm trying to decide between the turbelle stream TS21 with the 6000 streams or the TS24 with the 6100 streams. I am building a 180 sps reef, main pump will be a little giant 4MDQX-SC which will be turning about 1000 gph through my sump.

Would the TS24 be too much in a 180?

I've got the 6100's on a 72" 110 gal, I am glad that I upgraded to the 6100's - very happy w/ my flow.

I run two 6000's on my 120 along with an Ampmaster 3000 returning every bit of water my dursos can handle... if I had a 180 I would definately go with the 6100's

I'm going with the TS21 for my 180, then I'm going to upgrade to the 6100's
It works out to the same price & you have 2 extra power paks

Where do you have your streams located in your tanks? My 180 has two overflows on the back wall. Like this:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
\ / \ /

and I having been thinking of putting them in the middle on the back wall between the overflows, and in the back corners pointed toward the ends of the tank.

Im running 2 6100's with controller on my 210, will add another when things start to grow in. I have one mounted to the overflow on the left streaming to the right and the right one on the side glass with a magnet streaming left.

Anyone know where you can get the TS24 for a good price? The lowest I have seen is $884.53 at Marine Depot, Salty Critter, and Exotic fish. com. Anyone know of a place that might sell it cheaper?

I'm pretty sure Tunze holds all of their distributors to the suggested resales, or will pull the product line. I've never seen any advertised for less. You may wanna try ebay.
If you do find for lower, they'll normally not give you a receipt... (I'm serious) and say that they'll take care of you if something goes wrong with the pump. Tunze won't take it back without a receipt, so I've been told. Never tried it though, I'd think they'd take product back?
Anyways, not worth the headache to save a few bucks. I'm pretty sure you're stuck with that cost.
