Tunze mod help

I did the mod, that you cut out the inside shroud, for more flow. Now it vibrates and chatters. Did I do something wrong or is there a fix.

Place your hand in front of it while running. It sounds as if it is running in reverse. Have some nanostreams I did this mod to a couple of yrs ago. After the mod they have a higher tendency to run backwards when restarted.

I have 3 modded ones and at least (can't really tell beyond that) one starts backwards pretty much each time i cycle them. But after a few seconds of clattering they fix themselves.

Hopefully the Jebo WP25 comes out soon at a price i can agree with and is as easily modded as the WP40.

Still vibrating if I grab it it stops,driving me nuts just going to buy a new cover if no one has a idea thanks

How is the cord supported? I know mine can cause a fairly loud hum (resonance on the tank) if i don't give the cord some slack towards the pump (i have a loop that goes under the pump as i keep mine upside down in the tank). What i do is secure the cord to my canopy to avoid it getting pulled tight to the pump.

Also, i find the 'new' style bracket with the rubber spacers (anti-vibration dampers or whatever) is louder than my two old ones with the solid bracket.

Thanks for all the help, I put a rubber pad between the pump and the bracket and that worked great can't hear it at all
