Tunze Nanl DOC 9002 replacement pump

I've got a Tunze Nano DOC 9002 skimmer that requires a replacement pump. It appears after year of service the pump has began putting a stray current into the tank that instantly trips my gfci (confirmed it is indeed the culprit). It's happened a few times despite a through cleaning.

I figure it's probably time for a new pump, but it looks like this particular skimmer isn't made any more. Are replacement or alternative pumps still available?

Yes, they are available, the older pump 0800.040 used from 2004-2008 is less readily available, it is stocked by Premium Aquatics, you can also order it on Tunze.com, the newer pump 1073.008 is widely available. You have to get the same pump your skimmer originally included and their is a model number sticker on the pump.

Only if that is what it had originally, the internal baffling changed when they changed the pumps so a skimmer designed for an 0800.040, can only use that model and vice versa.

I confirmed on the label for the skimmer that the pump is:
Tunze Nano 800.04_a.

The pump pictured on Tunze.com does not appear to be the correct one one:
http://www.tunze.com/US/en/products...=0800.040&user_tunzeprod_pi1[incart]=0800.040

I assume that is just the wrong photo being shown?

Roger what's the right away to order the replacement through Tunze.com? The listing for the replacement pump says unless specified the new version will be sent. I got to the point of submitting the order but did not find anywhere to indicate that I need the older style pump. Please advise.

That is a mistranslation, if you order 0800.040 you will get 0800.040, what the text is trying to say is that in all cases except the 9002 you can use 1073.008, since 0800.040 is no longer made and only old stock remains, they are trying to conserve the stock for those who need it, we do have them in stock in the US warehouse.
