Last night I installed my brand new Tunze nano skimmer, and it has been producing only a very wet skimmate that overflows the collection cup within a matter of minutes. The air intake has been adjusted slowly to produce the least amount of bubbles, but it still overflows. I have tried adjusting the height of the skimmer, and have the skimmer higher up than normal as well. This seemed to make things better, but not enough to make a usable skimmer. The bubbles are also larger than I would expect them to be at this point.
I realize this is a newly setup skimmer, but is this part of the break in period? The cup will overflow completely in about 10-20 minutes or so..
I don't use any additives, and since I have ro/di water I don't need to use any dechlorinators in the water.
Any suggestions/tips?
Thank you!
