Tunze nano stream vs. High flow MJ mod

can anyone compare these two pumps?

-size
-ammount of flow
-noise
-flow pattern

- overall which tunze nano stream puts out the same ammount of flow as the modded mj high flow?

The tunze nanostreams are definately smaller. Do a search for tunze nano mod. There are a few mods you can easily do that will also increase the nanostream output.

Not sure if it will be the same as a high flow mj mod though.

high flow mj mod is stronger than a seio 2600 i have both, i did have 2 mj modd high flow in my 125 but was too much flow, mj mods are very strong on flow something like a 55 or 75 gallon could do good with one high flow mj mod. the mj mod has a wide flow pattern and i mounted mine on a mag float, they have a little bit of noise not much. Ask lonnie (i'm lon 2) he has one also in his tank.

i have two high flow mj mods in my 75 gallon. I have lost my trust in MJ's though, and would be willing to spend a little bit of money (when i get that) on something of higher quality.

so the nano stream 6045 or 6060 jx?

I have had both and now have only 2 6025's.
The maxijets use 20 watts of electricity while the Tunzes use only 7 watts.
My tank temp went down 1.3 degrees after switching.

whoever has the nano 6045, would you say that this would be a real spread out flow pattern like the MJ mod? or would it be pretty strong by the time it got to the other end of my 48 inch long tank? i want to get two pumps. one that i can place on either end of the tank. one in the back and one in the front.

i would like their flow to be pretty spread out and cover most of each side by the time the reach the opposite end of the tank. and still move significant water around on the other side.

i say a 6060 but the 6045 isnt a super wide pattern (cant remember the size that flows out of it)

not liking mj modd myself anymore especially when it keeps hitting stopper making noise or just stopping all the time. Thats why is sitting in cabinet not getting used and other is going to go when i find another style powerhead. I been checking out those nano streams also do they have a wide flow pattern.

The flow is not to bad nothing like my 6100's or My 6200

I have never seen a MJ mod but for the xtra cost You cant bet the tunze's. We spend so much money on our tanks and people skimp on the good stuff.

All I can tell you Howard is put 2 in and see if you like the flow.
I had one in my fuge and it rocked it pretty good but like I said I have never seen a MJ mod.
