Hi ,

I have the above unit. I did buy it some time ago but it has sat in a storage box and has not been used. I took it out to use in my new set up.

When I tried to separate the magnets (I had a thick piece of cardboard in between). The one side that attaches to the swivel clamp?? Does not stay attached.
How is that supposed to stay on the clamp? I see two little flat "pegs" for lack of a better term that look like the go in the slots on the magnet? But it does not stay on??

How do I get the one side of the magnet to stay attached to the swivel??

Thank you

Which style clamp do you have?

2006-2011- clamp with 4 tabs on the back that clip directly into the magnet.

2011-2015- clamp with 4 holes, 4 silicon spacers insert in the tubes and hold it to a base with the four tabs and four holes (silence clamp)

2015-forward- clamp with 4 holes and 4 short silicon spacers, magnet holder with 4 round holes for direct connection of 4 silicon spacers.

It sounds like you may have the oldest style and 2 of the tabs are broken? If so I would replace it with the silence clamp 6025.650, they are available on Tunze.com, Marine Depot, Premium Aquatics, the older 6025.510 is also available.

I would guess it is the older one but it does have 4 little silcon spacers that had to be put on.

The instruction manual lists it as 6025.51. I went to pull the outside magnet off and the whole thing come off. I guess there was 4 tabs. As I said I have not used it. I know hard to fathom but it's true. New in the box. The magnets are so strong it must have snapped off 2 of the tabs when I went to install it?

Will epoxy, silicone or something hold it on?

So the 6025.650 clamp will fit my pump??

Where does your company ship from if I buy it direct.?? I would order the original.

PA is out of stock and Marine Depot I do not deal with. Both only offer the new version.

You can use either 6025.650 or 6025.510 on the older magnet type. If you wanted to glue it, superglue is the best option. If you order from Tunze.com, as long as you select United States on the home page and when ordering, the order will come directly to me, we ship from Austin, TX. Do not order from a google link as the page may be for another country, instead go to Tunze.com, and use the search to find the part by number.

Thanks Roger

So the 6025.51 should have 4 tabs and cost $8.35 plus a few dollars shipping??

Does the silence clamp come with the buffers?
