Tunze Osmolater sensor not working

As the title says, the controller believes the water in the tank is level, even though the sensor is high and dry and the pump is sucking air. The sensor is spotless and appears to be undamaged, and the emergency float switch is not triggered. The controller it just sitting there with it's green level light glowing.

I've tried unplugging and replugging the unit, not sure what the problem is or how to fix it. There is a magnet glued to the back of the controller holding it in place, but it's been like this for nearly 7 months with no problems. I only realized it wasn't filling the tank when the pump started sucking air today.

Any suggestions?

I had a sublimation issue once. I unplugged the unit, removed the hose off the pump and turned if on its side, then plugged it back in and it started pumping. It seemed as though there was air in the line and it wasn't able to pump with the air blockage. One pumping good I reconnected the hose to the pump and no issues!

I just tried that, but it's not that it's trying to pump and can't, it's not recognizing that it needs to pump so the controller isn't even sending power to the pump. I managed to get it to do that 10 second start up pump by unplugging it a bunch of times, but it's still not getting the low water signal from the sensor.

I would suspect the optic sensor has failed, if you send in the controller, we can replace it. Include your return address and phone number and ONLY send it to me if you live in the US, international repairs are handled by other repair centers.
