Tunze Osmolator Backflow

I have the Tunze osmolator and it is backflowing into the reservoir. Is this a failure in the backflow preventing device, that yellow thing?
The unit is only a few months old and just started happening.
Please advise.

The hose is not touching the surface of the sump water. The source of the backflow is from the osmolator unit itself not the destination water level. The pump kicks on to fill to the water line in the sump when needed, then when the pump shuts off, the contents of the osmolator cylinder empty into the reservoir of fresh RO water. Now I have a reservoir full of water with kalkwasser. The unit did not use to do this.
Thanks for your help.

Do you mean the calcium dispenser? If you have a calcium dispenser it is critical that the line be looped up as shown in the manual. The input line has to be zip tied to the top of the dispenser with the included zip tie. If not, the kalkwasser hardens the check valve and causes it to fail. You likely need a new check valve, any duckbill or spring type airline check valve will work and a zip tie.
