how much water can the tunze system pump per day?

basically the pump will be inside of a barrel that is 5 ' tall and have to pump 6' to the sump.

I can't find on any info on how much the system will pump per day or how long all the wiring is for the pump etc.

will i have to buy anything else or will it come with everything i need for that disatance.

While you can extend the cable the limiting factor here is the length of the pump cable, it is only about 6ft long so any deeper and it would be submerged. I don't think this is a good set up for several reasons.

First with such a large resevoir if their is a problem it could be a catastrophe, reservoir size should be considered an extra safety and just enough for a week or 2 of evaporration should be available.

Second, with such a tall reservoir it is difficult to imagine a tank that is much taller than the reservoir and this adds the risk of a siphon forming and draining the reservoir into the tank.

i must be confused i thought the pump sat in the resevoir and then pumped to the tank/sump. the drip line would actually sit in my overflow on the top of the tank. the water level in the barrel would ony be three feet high i was saying 5 feet because that is how much wiring/tubing (unsure because i have not seen the setup of this unit) i would need to come out the top of the barrel and then back down the outside of the barrel to then run to my fish room.

It does sit in the reservoir and pump up to the tank but the reservoir absolutely has to be below the level it is pumping to. Their are set up diagrams on our website. The pump has a max head capacity of 9ft, it comes with 10ft of tubing. I would not have a run longer than 10ft, longer runs while possible can be problematic for getting the pump primed as it often can't self prime against such resistance.

so you think the liter meter would be better for my situation. i was interested in yours because of the control aspect. the tubing should be long enough and the main tank is only 5' high just wasn't sure about the wiring to the pump

As I said you can extend the wiring using speaker wire but the cable cannot get wet at the junction which is 6ft from the pump. The Litermeter is also a very good top off device.

well i decided on the tunze system for the top off. All i can say is i am very impressed and it was worth every penny. thanks for your help and i am sold as a customer

Why such a huge top off reserve? I have approximately the same tank as you and only use about 2-3 gallons for top off per week (in AZ where the wheather is HOT and the air DRY).

I love my Osmolator! Works great all the time. Maybe you can reduce the size of your top off reserve and take advantage. Just a suggestion.
