Tunze Osmolator Problem

Roger, I picked up one of the new-style Tunze Osmolators with the magnet mount. Worked great for about 2 weeks but I just noticed the water level has been dropping to over an inch below the sensor, and it doesn't trip. Any suggestions?

Double check that water isn't clinging between the sensor and holder, especially if it is on a sump wall that water flows over.

Roger, I've got the newer magnet mount sensor and it is installed in my sump. Its in a low flow area and it is not near sump wall with water flow. It was working fine for 2 - 3 weeks and suddenly stopped working. Tried the following before I went out of town:

1. Rinsed sensor in RO water and dried it off, reinstalled.

2. Checked position to be sure it is at proper angle to the water.

Just got back from out of town and I checked my bucket of top off water and it doesn't look like it fired at all.

Fortunately my wife was able to add a pitcher of RO water every day to help prevent the sump water level from getting too low.

Should I send it in for troubleshooting and repair?

Yes, but I only need the controller and pump, something is most likely wrong with the controller, probably the optic sensor is bad. Make sure and send the pump in a seperate ziplock bag so it cannot get the controller wet in transit.
