Tunze osmolator

This morning I came downstairs and had microbubbles in my tank. When that happens it means the last section of my sump, which has my return, is low on water. That in turn means that my ATO isn't working properly. I came and noticed it was nearly empty and didn't understand why my tunze osmolator wasn't functioning properly. I put about 2 gallons in the return section. I took a quick glance at the ATO container (10 gallon tank) and it was full to the brim! It has only a few gallons in the container last night when I went to bed. Have you heard of anything like that before?

My guess would be your top off hose is touching the water in the tank or sump and back siphoned into the container, the hose should be suspended above the water level.

Thanks for the response Roger. oh yeah, you're right about that. I didn't know that. It sits right in the water. If I suspend it above the water do you think that will fix the problem?

Yes, it should be clamped so the hose is above the maximum point the water would reach to prevent a back siphon, that should solve this problem.
