I purchased the Tunze Osmolator 3155 a few weeks ago and have had it up and running. Sunday night I noticed my pump was pumping in water and the alarm was on and all lights were on. I unplugged it and emptied the excess water. I now turn it on the green level water light turns on when it shouldn't and then after 15 seconds all lights go off. Any idea what's going wrong?

Most likely issues would be a weak power supply or bad pump. Let's try disconnecting the pump and see if we get normal status lights as a first step. If you have a voltmeter the next step would be to check the output of the power supply, it should be approx 11V DC (9.5-13 is an acceptable range), if it is too low, the controller will cycle on and off if it is too high it will shut off until the supplied power dips back down, it needs 8.5-14V to work.

I plugged it directly into the outlet the green light comes on then goes blank after about 15 seconds all the lights come on and it beeps after about 10 seconds the too high and too low lights stay on the rest turn off and it keeps beeping. Any idea on what the issue would be?

Do you have any reason to think it may have gotten wet, this can be as minor as plugging in the power tip wet? This is either water damage or a processor issue (firmware wiped out/cold solder joint).

it may have gotten splashed with a minimal amount of water but nothing I would have though would have caused issues. When it over flowed while draining out the excess water it did get a little water on it. Would this be the cause and if so anyway to repair it?

It could be, part of the safety circuitry is a conductor band around the edge of the board that if shorted or open will cause this alarm. It is designed that way so it cannot run with circuit damage which could defeat safeties. If the damage is minor and especially if only RO water was involved, it may be repairable, if it is more extensive and circuit lines are missing (corroded through), it would not be. Please send it in. I will be out next week but I get back on the 2nd and can get to it as soon as I return.

BTW, you could certainly open it and have a look, their are user adjustments inside the controller and you could see if it has any corrosion.

I opened it up and don't see any sort of corrosion any where. I will send it in for you to look at. I appreciate your client service.

I just realized that I didn't put my note in the package letting you know who sent it to you. You should have already received it and all it had was my return address on it. If you have any questions for me please feel free to message me here.

It seems the controller had some water damage, likely from freshwater as I was able to bring it back to life by cleaning it and touching up the circuit with fresh solder. I will ship it back today, it seems to work, but I would monitor it closely for a week to be sure all functions work.
