Tunze Osmolator

I am thinking about purchasing the Tunze Osmolator, but does it come with a solenoid for direct RO/DI hook up. I don't want to use a reserior since it takes up a lot of rooms.

No. It does not.

It includes a small 9V pump that tops off the aquarium from a reservoir.

Is there any way to rewire the osmolator to accomendate a solenoid for RO/DI direct feed. I know someone on the board had modified the unit for this purpose but I couldn't find the thread any more...
I really like the opitical senser utilized in the Tunze unit but if there is no way to do the mod then I will have to choose the Zeus from Oceanus instead.

It is a really bad idea, if it failed, you would not only face flood damage to your house but the massive influx of freshwater would ruin your reef. I would never directly connect an RO system. Solenoids are not forever, they can and do fail with fair regularity and often in the open position. The osmolator is about as fool proof a system as there is and the weaker link is the solenoid but even so I still would not trust this set up. With a reservoir containing just a weeks worth of water you limit the amount of damage a failure could cause.
