Tunze Osmollator 5002

Could someone tell me if the Tunze Osmollator 5002 can be run as a standalone unit, or does it only operate as part of an integrated tunze filtration system? I have come across one at cost price, but I dont have any other tunze gear, so I would need it to run by itself.

It will not work very well without at least a filter kit and the rails and rail holder. If it is a really great deal you could buy the parts needed to make it into an Osmolator 3155 for about $30US.

hmmm thanks for that, I havent actually seen it personally, but I can get it for about US$140, which is getting close to half price over here in Aus. Do you think it would be possible to DIY something to make it work properly, or do you think I would be better off just ordering the extra parts? If you think the parts option, do you know the parts numbers I would need to order to turn it into a 3155?

Kit 3155.25 is the full holder set. At least here in the states $140 + $30 for the parts would make it more espensive than the 3155 by a few bucks.

Thanks Roger, if I can get the 3155.25 kit for around $30 US, that makes it $100 Australian cheaper than I can buy the 3155 kit for over here. I will ring a local rep here and find out a price. Thanks for your advice!

No worries, if it is less than $50 AUS, I will probably order one without worrying about DIY, but anymore than that and I will check out if I can DIY.
