tunze pump "sagging"

Roger,

I have the 6000 stream attached to the 6080.50 magnet holder, and the pump is not perpendicular to the side of the tank but points down. Any idea why it sags? Is it the plastic screw or the plastic holder that slides into the holder. If it is and ordering a new one will hold it straight, please let me know the part number.

There are a few possibilities.

Some sag is normal, the fit of the post piece on the magnet was deliberately made loose in anticipation of coralline algae build up on this part. This can be a source of some sag. If you feel it is necessary this could be shimmed with some strips of plastic (old ID or credit card or strips of laminate)

It can have a greater degree of sag if the pump is mounted wrong, the arm should be above the pump, I often see them mounted with the pump above the arm.

It is also possible the arm is not completely in the groove on the back of the pump.
