tunze pumps, controller, and reefkeeper?

I'm considering getting two Tunze 6000's with a controller. But, a friend suggested the reefkeeper controller.

Is this redundant? Can the reefkeeper (1 or 2) manage the tunze streams as well?

okay, so I should get a tunze controller for the streams and then a reefkeeper for the lights, fans, etc.?

I've read some bad reviews of the first Reefkeeper, did they get the bugs worked out?

Yes, a controller for temp control, pH, lights, (and other types of power heads) is great IMO. The AquaController Jr. does more and costs less.

Why can't a reefkeeper run the Tunze electronics? Is it a software issue or can the two not physically connect? What about a Turbelle 6060 running through a reefkeeper?

tunze electronics are not controlled by simple on/off which is what the reefkeeper does. The tunze electronics utilize a braking system and are "ramped" on/off by a control system that is more complicated than on/off.

The tunze 6060 and 6090 can be turned on/off every half hour.
