From the post ---
Anyone have pictures of Tunze Deco Rocks actually being used in an aquarium? I have only seen stock photos. Please share if so.
Also... does the pump attach to the rock in a way that one doesnt need to further secure the pump to the tank? Are they anchored rocks?
I have two 6100 stream pumps that I'm trying to figure a way to hide and secure them. I try to keep my aquarium free of visible gadgets as much as possible. Like the "natural look", rather than "mechanical".
Oh, by the way, can someone humor me as to the reason why the rocks are so expensive? I know their made by TUNZE, but come on. Must be gold in them rocks!
Thanks,

Shawnz28,

Thanks for helping me out. The photos were helpful in giving me more of an idea of what the rocks look like. However, not sure how the rock connects to the pump. Is the "sleve" in the rock just the right size to give a snug fit? Necessary to use aquarium silcone? Once attached, how does one keep the rock and pump from floating to the suface? Would want to make sure I didnt wake up in the middle of the night to water hitting my living room ceiling. I read a horror story about this happing to somone. That person was using the hanging attachment that came with his Tunze pump. The attachments are flimsy! I didnt use mine. Instead, I had an acrylic shop make a custom hanging device. It's more durable, but unattractive. Would like to hide pumps.

Thanks again,

From memory(as I have not had one in my hands in a while to remember for sure) I think they snugly fit into the sleeve in the rock. The rocks are pretty heavy so there is little worry of them floating away

Sounds good! Just got to find a gargantuan piggy bank. For a pile of harden clay, they are sure costly.
