Tunze safety connector 6105.50

I just putted together a power backup system with an AGM SLA 12V 18AH Battery, a charger/maintainer and a tunze safety connector to drive a tunze silence 1073.05.

When the battery and the power supply are connected, the safety connector makes a clicking sound. Is that a malfunction of this connector?

I checked the fuse and seems to be fine.

Thanks,

In general this is a defect of the relay, it would generally click once to switch between power supply or battery, if all the wiring and contact is good and the power is not flickering, then it is likely the safety connector has a bad contact at the relay. I would verify that the power supply works and has good contact with the safety connector and the battery is properly connected, a loose or intermittent connection can cause the same result as can a failing power supply or flickering power.

The power supply works fine when connected directly to the pump. I checked the connections, when connected to the safety connector still clicking.

Thanks,
