Tunze skimmer 9005...or 9010??

The key is to rotate the pump so the cord is nearest the cord slot, this way it has a lower profile and less touches the bottom housing, you have to make sure the output is fully inserted in the clear jet pipe. If the pump is in properly, only a small portion of the impeller housing will touch the bottom plate. It can be helpful to have the front output grate removed as you can then see that the pump is fully inserted, the intake should almost be to the top of the D shaped cut out for it.
 
Good tip on removing the front grate to make insertion easier. It always takes me a few tries to get the pump in right. I will try it at the next cleaning.

Thats how it installed.The only portion of the pump that touches the bottom plate is one of the clip on the pump.does that sound right?It doesnt seem like a 100% wont touch the bottom.
 
Its in the sump and isnt touching anything.Ill save acouple bucks and end up getting the new pump to upgrade it.Thank you Roger, your CS is by far the best from anyone ive done business with.And again sorry Plates1971 for the HJ you wont be sorry buying Tunze know matter witch one you get but the 9010 or 11 would be my pick for you.
