I just bought this skimmer for my system, and i would like to use ozone on this skimmer. From the manual i can see there is a small nipple for conection a ozone unit. How ever the nipple is no way connected to the air intake, it just a small hole onto the other side of the plastic housing. Am i missing something?

also, air adjustment.. if its possible is it better to open as much as possible?

You need to pump the ozone in with a small air pump, we recommend a 50l/hr air pump. The ozone is pumped under the cup and then drawn in by the venturi from that chamber. The 9011 pump draws in 650 l/hr of air with the screw completely open and it will take any balance of air from the larger nipple. I would not open the air fully as it tends to skim less and usually 4-5 turns open is the most you need and is still about 400 l/hr.

thank you for your reply.

i am using the bottom, with the open grills on it, is this correct? i have 2 diffrent bottoms in my pack, one where i can place suction cups, and one where there are grills on the bottom.

The bottom with slots is for in tank use. If you will use it in a sump, you use the one with suction cup feet, the stand pipe and the connector between the pump and intake grate on the front.

You can use it this way in the sump only if the water level is to the water line on the skimmer, if the water is lower, you must install the pipe and connector and bottom plate as shown in the manual for sump use.
