Tunze Stream 6000

Quick question,
If the 6000 stream is purchased without the single controller, at what GPH will it run at? The 650GPH or 1800GPH (since that is the range of the pump)? I have an 48*20*24 tank with extra fine sand. Would the 6060 cause a sand storm? Thx

I don't know how the 6060 would work with fine sand but I don't think it would be too big of an issue as the flow is from a broad outlet and doesn't have much force. I always use 2mm grain size and in Europe 2-3mm is the norm. On the 6000 without controller you set the speed using a screw driver on a potentiometer knob on the side of the driver.
