I am looking to get some streams for my new tank. It will be about 110 G (48" x 24" x 22"). I don't want closed loops anymore, tired of all the heat from all the external pumps. Since the Streams use so little wattage and produce low heat, I am hoping I can save on my electric bill. If I run one 6060 with the magnet holder on the far left/back wall and one 6000 with a contoller to pulse on and off on the opposite back wall corner, will it be ok? The tank will be SPS with a shallow sandbed. I am hoping to place it high enough so that it wont mess the sandbed up, but low enough so that it will not shoot out of the tank. So, can the magnet holder be used to allow the streams to point to one side or the other, or do they just point straight? If they can only point straight, another option would be to put them on the far right side and point across the tank, one in fornt and one in back. The left wall is not an option since the external overfow is there. What would be your advice?
Thanks
