Tunze stream for 75G 48 x 18 x 20(tall)

I plan to setup my tank to be mainly sps with a clam on sand and a couple of lps that I really like also down at the bottom.
I am currently using SEIO 820 and mag7 as my return pump, which also goes through a SCWD.
I do have a 3"(front) -4"(back) sandbed.

I'm wondering what Tunze stream I can use.

1. Will a 6000 and 7091 work for me or it'll create a sandstor? I suppose the current will only go one direction with just one 6000, correct?

2. Other good alternatives?

Thanks!

I guess that will be a 7095 and 2 x 6055, right? or there is another multicontroller for 6055.

Can a multicontroller operate on just one pump, I'm wondering if I should buy one, see how it works for my case before I buy the other one.

Can 6055 run by itself without any controller, can I adjust flow without the controller? Mainly I want to see how it performs before further investment.

It uses the 7095 controller and yes, it can run without a controller and you can adjust the speed by switching the voltage on the power supply.

If you're keeping SPS and you want killer flow, I don't think 2 6055s would be enough, especially as your corals grow. Two 6045s, which is almost as much current, is fine in my 50 gallon corner tank, but I wouldn't want to go with any less, and it's a smaller tank than the 75. Plus if you're going to control tem, it could be less total current than the 6045s.

Not to counter Roger's advice, he really knows the pumps, but I would consider 4 6045s, one in each corner, or a pair of the 6055s and a pair of the 6025s, or your idea about a single 6000 with a single controller plus a pair of 6025s. Sorry to spend your money so freely!

I have a 7095 and 2x6000s in my 75. It is a LOT of flow for my all SPS tank and the corals love it! I have them dialed back and they still kick up some sand (removed some of my sandbed now and have rocks to absorb the flow). 6000s are also very big size-wise. For that reason, I think Roger's 6055 suggestion is a good one for 75 users out there. Dual 6000s are really ideal for a 120--what I want in the future.

Thank you guys for the info. I don't know what I want to do yet but these informations gave me a lot to think about.

My tank is also 20" in height and the water depth is about 16". If I go for 2X6000+ 7095, will they kick up the sand easily? Also my tank is 38"(L)X28"(W)X20"(H) and mainly a sps tank, which one is the better choice? :
1) 2X6000+7095
2) 2X6055+7095

It really just depends, 6000's are more readily available and if your focus is SPS you will likely be happier with the 6000's. For a mixed reef and if you are patient the 6055's are cheaper and more compact.
