Tunze Streams for Wavemakers?

I was planning on controlling the Tunze Stream 6000 through the Aqua Controller Jr. Would I harm the pump in any way?

I wouldn't turn it off and on more than once an hour to be on the safe side. The manual states that any non Tunze controller voids the warranty with the exception of timers set at one hour intervals. Usually wavemakers destroy the clutch system so it causes a particular problem that is obvious.
