Tunze Streams run in reverse

I have 2 streams barely a year old, on a timer that turns them on/off 4x day. One or both of them run in reverse 50% of the time. Does anyone else have this problem or a fix? They're not fouled or crusted and cleaning doesn't seem to help.

The sand storms are getting very frustrating and I'm thinking about just going back to some ugly maxijets.

What model are the streams, this is important to finding the cause, they can be fixed so don't get to upset, it is probably something simple.

This would have one of three causes.

The propeller blades are broken- check the prop, if the ends are broken they can spin backwards.

The drive unit is sticking to the shaft from calcium or sand and cannot move forward to hit the stops on a backward spin. Check that the drive unit spins freely and slides up and down freely on the shaft.

The front housing has broken stops, you will see the cross hatch in the front cover sweeps down inside and has stops that the prop hits to stop a backward spin, a handful of early models used a different design with thinner plastic and these can break.

There are other possibilities that are more rare so please check these three first, 98% of the cases fall into one of these three catagories. Let me know and we can send the parts you need.
