When I first entered the hobby about 3 years ago, I always wondered why these pumps cost so much. Now, after 2 years of using these pumps, there is no wonder why. They are of the highest quality and they have Roger’s excellent customer service [one of the best in the hobby].
In the past 2-3 years, I have used the Tunze 6025s, 6045s, 6055s, 7095, and the osmolator. The 7096 multicontroller is being shipped to me as we speak.
A little history of me and Tunze:
I was one of the first to buy the 6045s. The early model suffered through bad clips and bad shafts. Tunze, knowing that it was a common defect all the broken clips I've ever had. [4] They then remade the clips with a new material and haven’t broken on me since. Few months later the shaft in one of my 6045s broke, I told Roger I had 2 of them and he gave me the go ahead to send both of them in and got them completely replaced free of charge, all I had to do was pay for shipping. I was shipped back brand new pumps.
I have just recently started using the osmolator from Tunze and it makes me regret not going with Tunze for my ATO the first time around. This thing is amazing at sensing a drop in water levels in the sump. The water level doesn’t move at ALL, all day.
In the course of 2 years, Tunze has always kept me a happy customer. I figure I’d give them a nice post back saying thanks for everything.
Tunze forever!! Haha.
So if any of you are wondering if you should bite the bullet and get these pumps, I hope I’ve convinced you well enough.
They are worth every penny.
Keep up the good work Roger, you are appreciated.
