These are the new magnets, they are Ferrite, the same material most impellers are made from and will not corrode. They don't need waterproofing, the old magnets were neodymium and had iron plates, these required waterproofing. Neodymium has gone up in price over 500% and to keep costs down we switched but the old neodymium for up to 3/4" contained 2 tiny magnets, not much bigger than an N cell battery, to get to the roughly 5/8" we have from the Ferrite the entire magnet holder is full of Ferrite. The only way these will get any corrosion is if iron particles stick to them, the attracted iron will corrode but the ferrite itself will not.

I understand it's your economical pump, the 6015. And if you say there will be no harm and it's perfectly safe, I will take your word for it.

My big concern here is this scratching my glass. Even with the rubber stickers, the magnet is still very close to the glass. And from all the turbelles I have owned in the past, none of those rubber bumper stickers lasted past the first year. So eventually this bare metal will be up against my aquarium glass.

Could you please propose a solution or idea to protect the glass on my aquarium?

You could but I would see no reason to do so, the magnets do not directly touch the glass when the rubber feet are installed.
