Tunze w/ Timer

Hi Roger,

I'm about to purchase a used 6100. However, the seller says he never had it on a controller, but used it on a timer instead. Is this bad for the pump? I want to know what to expect in terms of wear and tear with the constant on/off. Thanks in advance.

If it wasn't turned off and on like a wavemaker- every few seconds, it should be fine. Off and on hourly will not make any real difference. Worst case scenario you would need a new drive unit which is $27.09
