tunze wave box

Hi
I was told to post this here.
Im setting up a tank which will be 36"L x 36"W x 24"H.
Im looking at purchasing a Tunze wave box and a Tunze TS12 stream kit.
Would the Wave box work in a 36"Long tank or would I be better of buying a Tunze TS24 stream kit and not bothering about the wave box?
Thanks in advance Pete

I would get neither, the wavebox won't do much in such a short tank, I would get 2 6000's and a 7095 controller.

So you would recommend the tunze TS14 stream kit which has 2x 6000 streams and the multicontroller.
Would that have enough flow for a heavily stocked SPS coral tank.
What is the minimum size tank that the wave box would work on?
cheers Pete

A tank of at least 4ft long is what I recommend for the wavebox. I would get the TS14.

I dont think a wavebox can generate the proper sinewave to get a decent pulse in a tank 3' long. I have seen one working in a 4' tank and it was only generating a 3/4" wave. The longer the tank the better. On a six footer it creates a really sweet wave that is over 1 inch. You can watch everything go back and forth...back and forth...just like in real life.

It just barely works in a 3ft tank- a 1/2" wave and given the size the unit takes up it isn't worth it.
