Tunze Wavebox Score!!!!!

I have to admit, I'm a very happy camper! Dave at Ocean's Floor called me up about an hour ago with the great news, I won the raffle for the Tunze Wavebox!!!!

I headed up this morning with my wife and two kids and to get out of the city for a bit, check out the store and maybe get a couple of frags. I ended up with a beautiful salmon millepora and a as of yet not named but looks like a A. yongei frag. They had brats and burgers so we ate, the kids watched a little TV (they have a TV, DVD and been bags for the little guy's) and I just looked around and drooled.

It's an unbelievable store and anyone in the area really should go take a look.

Thank you Dave for picking my name! I hope I can use this on a 75 b/c I'm almost certain I can't on my 30 cube.

Here are the frags I picked up today:

Congratulations NewSchool04!!! :D

Since the Tunze is obviously wayyyyyyyyy to big for your 75, you can just tell Dave that I'll pick it up for you!

They are awesome and I'm sure you'll enjoy it!

I've been reading about it for about 1/2 hour now, I'm not sure if a 75 will be big enough. What do you think?
And thank you FiberLux, I followed your thread to Ocean's Floor, to two great frags and a full belly, to a Wavebox!

Thank's FiberLux for the info. So much to read and I can't believe Ocean's Floor isn't open on Sunday's, it's devastating!!!!!!!

If it doesn't work out, you're first in line for sure.

Thank you Sara for the link. I thought it was going to be an early night about two hours ago, now I can't seem to stop reading!

Roger(Tunze) used one on his previous setup which was a 75. You'll get about a 1/2" wave if my memory serves me right. Fire it up!!! :)

Congrats Pat!

I loved my Wavebox and wish it would have worked better in the 65g. But I've seen a few in action on 75g's, and I don't think you or your corals will be disappointed one bit!

Thank you Rob! Is there much difference between a 65 and a 75? What problems did you have?
The light is working great by the way!

Glad to hear the light is working well! The 65g is only 36" long, and the only wave that I could generate was about 1/4" at a VERY quick frequency. The extra 12" in length on the 75g make all the difference in the world.

Ahhhh Rob! You are saying all the right things!!! I just really want it to work.

I'm wondering how much additional flow I'm going to need. Currently I have a 1500 and 1100 SEIO in the tank along with the Mag 12 return that is split between the 75 and 30 gallon.

Congrats Pat! If the wavebox doesn't work out on the 75gal, then you can always upgrade to a bigger tank. Sounds like a good enough excuse for an upgrade to me :D.

The 75 is the smallest tank that Tunze will recommend a Wavebox for. Actually, when they demo'd the product at IMAC a few years ago, it was in a 75. You can dial back the power on the driver unit so it doesn't have to run at 100%. Check with Roger in the Tunze for here.

Congrats, that is quite a score.

Dave was nice enough to come in and let me pick up the wavebox today! I have it and it's ready for testing but I screwed up and nearly got my finger ripped off by the magnet holder. Now I have a magnet holder stuck together and I can't sepparate the two sides.

Any ideas?

Magnets are apart and the wavebox is in the tank! I'm having a problem though, the pump just pumps continously, no stop and go. The controller is not working and does not look like it's getting power even though it's plugged into the driver. I have no idea what to do.
