Roger,
I want to upgrade my 9002 on my Nano Reefack to a 9005. I ended up with an SPS dominated 37 gallon and the guide says to not exceed 26 gallons for SPS tanks so I am thinking I am a little under powered. I will attach the skimmer to the Reefpack magnet and use one of the mounting brackets the skimmer comes with to mount the Nano Cleaner.
The 9002 works well, but I want to feed the corals often and because of its passive design, I don't think it will handle the load. The 9005 will probably be so effective at particulate and DOC removal I could probably nix the Nano Cleaner, although I like the surface skimming.
I have decent growth and my parameters are good for the time being, but the tank is young and lightly stocked. Do you think the 9002 will be able to handle the tank down the road when rapidly growing SPS fill the tank or should I just get the 9005 now?
Thanks in advance for your advice
